This time of year, it is especially important to be mindful of those in need and do all we can to help feed the hungry. Now thru December 24, we have partnered with the WhyHunger organization to launch a special Holiday Giving Campaign.
In the Spirit of the Holidays, now thru Christmas Eve (12/24/23), NY Waterway is matching the first $5,000 in donations to WhyHunger from our valued NYW Staff, Customers & Local Communities. 44 million Americans including 13 million children struggle with hunger.
To make it easier, “A donation to WhyHunger moves the needle beyond food charity to support community-led solutions that protect everyone’s right to food and equip people to nourish themselves.” Jenique Jones, Executive Director.
WhyHunger was founded in 1975 in the NY Area and now operates Nationwide & in 23 countries. WhyHunger received a 4-star (98%) Charity Rating from Charity Navigator (2022)..
